PSD are currently retained to recruit a Senior Project Manager for McMullens.

McMullens have a long and illustrious history within the licensed leisure industry since 1827 .

The estate boasts 85 managed and 35 tenanted pubs and a commercial and residential property portfolio. Operating in London, South East and East Anglia they have a Head Office and Brewery in Hertford with plans to expand further geographically.

All the pubs are individually designed, and built to benefit the community, using traditional methods and quality finishes. With a track record of refurbishing existing properties, sympathetic development of listed buildings and the development of stunning new build pubs. They have invested over £25million in new acquisitions and re-development projects in the last 12 months with much more planned. 

The Role

  • To deliver investment programmes to high standards, on time and on budget across a varied estate of trading and non-trading assets.
  • Be adaptable, creative, able to work on bespoke projects and reflect individual client requirements and project briefs.
  • To protect and enhance the Company’s assets through the management of repairs and maintenance, contractors, and suppliers.
  • To manage the Company’s property compliance programme.
  • To provide the Company and in house Repairs Helpdesk with technical property advice.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of managing small to large scale development and refurbishment projects, including new build and ideally within a pub estate.
  • Able to communicate and deal with wide variety of people.
  • Able to work autonomously when required with self-discipline and responsibility.
  • Experience of building maintenance across a variety of property assets.
  • Understanding and experience of managing Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance.
  • A team player with a good level of customer service.

What we’re looking for:

To succeed in this challenging role, you will possess a relevant construction qualification and have experience of managing programmes and budgets.

As a field-based surveyor, you will be comfortable working with remote supervision / support infrastructure. You will possess a commercial approach, strong negotiation skills and the ability to work within very tight time constraints.
