We are seeking to recruit an exceptional project manager with a track record of securing results on time, within budget and to a high quality.
We are looking for someone with excellent strategic and operational skills, who sees the big picture but also has a keen eye for detail. We need someone who can establish teams, define workstreams, find solutions when problems arise, track progress, motivate others, and report accurately and clearly on progress. Our successful candidate will have great interpersonal and communication, skills enabling them to build and maintain professional relationships with a wide variety of people. If this sounds like you, we will be delighted to consider your application.
Opportunity
You will provide strategic and operational support to the Project Director and Executive Principal (PDEP) who leads the development of Eton Star Partnership’s free school sixth forms and wider initiatives.
In consultation with colleagues from Eton and Star, you will develop a comprehensive project management plan covering the phases of work needed to successfully establish the three school sixth forms.
You will coordinate the work of wide-ranging professionals – both within and outside the Eton Star Partnership – to bring the plan to fruition in a timely way so that students attending this groundbreaking provision have an excellent experience from the outset.
You will develop excellent relationships with key community partners and through these extend learning and philanthropic opportunities for students and school staff.
You will report progress as required to the partnership’s executive, the Department for Education and other stakeholders.
Using lessons learned from these projects, you will create a toolkit to support school leaders who are engaged in sixth form development.
Alongside developing the sixth forms, you will manage other projects designed by Eton Star with the aim of galvanizing social mobility and addressing other key issues affecting the education sector.
You will work within the renowned Star Projects Unit – a fantastic team with extensive experience of establishing new schools.
If you’re a highly skilled project manager, keen to embrace a ground-breaking challenge to raise academic performance and reduce social inequality, this could be the ideal role for you.
You will have:
- A Degree qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of managing complex projects
- Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- The ability to plan, monitor and provide effective reporting on the progress of projects.
- Financial management and budgeting skills.
