About The Role
Our Town Hall Project is looking to recruit a construction professional with ‘big project’ client knowledge, skills and experience to join the client team responsible for Manchester's £330m landmark restoration project. Our Town Hall is the largest heritage project currently on site anywhere in the UK.
Reporting to the Project Director, the successful candidate will join a busy and experienced client team and a large team of consultants and contractors to deliver the Our Town Hall project to exacting standards of quality and operational efficiency.
This key role will ensure that the interests of internal and external stakeholders are understood and effectively managed to balance sometimes competing priorities in the delivery of the design, construction, fit out and operational start-up of the building.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will have excellent project management and stakeholder management skills and will be able to draw on a wealth of experience in effectively controlling cost, time and quality. You are a successful project management practitioner and an advocate for best practice methodology and project learning.
You will thrive in a project environment in which you will be asked to move between a diverse range of technical challenges whilst never losing sight of the overarching project objectives. No two days will be the same!
Your track record will speak for itself, having delivered complex multi-use projects, ideally in both the public and private sectors, at values upwards of £25m. Experience of heritage buildings and mechanical and electrical engineering installations will be a distinct advantage.
If you can effectively manage relationships and outcomes across a broad spectrum of needs and are excited by the prospect of working on one of the finest examples of Victorian Neo-Gothic architecture, then this challenging role could be for you.
