About the role
We’re the professional body for the police service in England and Wales. We work with everyone in policing to set standards, to share knowledge and good practice and to support the development of police officers and staff. Our mission is to drive a consistent approach across policing where the public and the service expect it, to boost professionalism and to improve leadership at every level.
As a Project Improvement Manager at the College of Policing you will play a critical role in delivering our core project work, both internally and across policing. You will work on a variety of projects, ranging from managing a project linked to the implementation of our digital infrastructure, through to projects that support key elements of flagship policing operations and promoting positive cultural change across the service.
We provide a unique working environment where you will be working with a wide range representatives from policing and law enforcement agencies across the UK. Our national remit provides a great opportunity for you to apply your experience to help shape the future of policing.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for individuals with strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills. People who can build strong and positive working relationships to deliver quality work at pace and apply their existing project management knowledge and skills on a wide variety of impactful national projects. We are committed to supporting personal and professional development and so we seek individuals who are committed to their own professional development or achieving professional excellence and have the ability to upskill others.

What we can offer you:
The Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Professional Community within the College of Policing provides a positive learning environment to ensure that you achieve your personal and professional ambitions. Though a bespoke development programme you will be able to gain Civil Service Project Management skills accreditation, which is recognised throughout the Civil Service and will support you throughout your career. We also offer support for your ongoing career development through helping you to develop leadership skills and knowledge, as well as skills and experience to support lateral
