Location: Sheffield or Crewe, covering sites Nationwide - Typically working Monday to Friday 40 hours.

As a Contract / Project Manager for Our Client, you will witness the impact and improvements your role delivers to customers and teams daily elevating your job satisfaction to new heights. This dynamic and challenging position offers you the chance to collaborate with and oversee a proficient professional team, within a secure environment featuring long-term contracts and ample growth opportunities.

You will lead a small team of Site Managers/Operatives, managing Passive Fire Protection projects across various sectors such as Social Housing, NHS, and other live environments. Your responsibilities include ensuring contracts are completed on schedule, with zero defects, within budget, and without compromising the Health & Safety of the operational team, clients, or the public. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Passive Fire Protection works, particularly in Fire Doors.

In addition to utilising your Contract / Project Manager expertise, you will actively seek opportunities to add tangible value and support your peers, team, and management in problem-solving, while being entrusted to make decisions that foster relationship growth and revenue development.

You will manage multiple contracts and site locations, leading a varied week comprising site visits and office-based tasks to support the administration involved in running several successful contracts. Given that the program of works spans nationwide, you must be comfortable with regional travel to these locations.

Your Responsibilities as a Contract / Project Manager:

  • Manage the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including subcontractors) as per individual contracts.
  • Oversee site personnel, work activities, and resources to fulfill the requirements of individual contracts.
  • Monitor individual contract progress, ensuring completion within specified time frames and budgets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely production of all necessary contract documentation/reports.
  • Attend both internal and client meetings to review performance and plan future works.
  • Support the preparation and processing of RAMS, organise materials, allocate/run Site Labor, and report back on-site progress.
  • Oversee projects from PO receipt to completion handover.

About You:

As an experienced Contract / Project Manager, you will have a background in planned works contracts, particularly within a social housing environment. You must possess experience in the Passive Fire industry, with a strong focus on Fire Door Remedials and Replacements. Ideally, you will hold an SMSTS qualification; however, we are open to supporting you in renewing it, given that the essential aspect is your knowledge and skills. The preferred candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable, self-motivated, and capable of effective communication within the team to ensure smooth operations daily. A Full UK driving license is required for daily site travel, and a DBS check will be conducted.
