Project Manager

Ethan James Group are working with a Commercial office fit out and construction contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to work on multiple contracts looking after the companies clients to support office moves.

As the Project Manager for Office Moves, you will be required to sell, quote, manage and assist with the delivery of moves projects.

Responsibilities will be to serve a number of clients delivering all Moves projects within the business

The candidate will need to be able to communicate very well with Facilities and Office Managers, quote all their own work, manage to completion and invoice.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sales, estimation, production of proposals
  • For each project develop, in conjunction with the client,
    • The requirements of moves
    • Ensure that all moves are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & regulative standards.
    • Compile Works Programmes as required
    • Work with moves team and external Moves managers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects
    • Prepare and deliver presentations to Customer based on Brief provided
    • Identify and highlight any risks, ensure that these are eliminated at the first instance.
    • Communicate effectively at all times with everyone affected by the project, in particular the client.
    • Review all finances on projects to ensure that they are correct and maintain profitability.
    • Attend client meetings where appropriate.
    • Manage all deliverables in line with the project plan.
    • Record and manage any issues and escalate where necessary.
    • Resolve issues arising.
    • Monitor & report on progress and performance.
    • Have a good understanding of Health & Safety best practice.

  • Competent at estimating Moves
  • A team player with a high level of self-motivation and organisational ability.
  • Relevant operational experience of leading and managing diverse teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand the key financial and labour needs of a project.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders in order to resolve day to day operational needs and identify opportunities for increasing the level of profitable business.
  • Good reporting Skills
  • Ability to forecast and present forecasts and sales to the SMT.
  • Competent in the use of computers and data handling including Microsoft Office systems Including (but not limited too) Excel, Microsoft project and PowerPoint.
