The Role:

As the Operations Manager, you will be at the helm of our transport operations, ensuring seamless and efficient management of daily activities. You will be directly responsible for overseeing the planning, staffing, implementation, and maintenance of transport services. Your leadership will ensure our operations meet high standards of customer satisfaction and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily transport operations, including route planning and vehicle maintenance, ensuring all services are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage a team of drivers, dispatchers, and support staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other partners.
  • Analyze operational performance and produce reports on metrics to guide decision-making.
  • Lead and support projects that improve operational processes.

  • Proven experience in transport operations management, preferably within the logistics sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in budget management and performance analysis.
  • Proficient in using transport management systems.
  • A degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
