Their projects are quite varied, but residential is without doubt their main vertical. Other sectors include education, student accommodation and elements of commercial and retirement living.

This specific project consists of a new build residential development in North London comprised of 91 units over 4 buildings with an M&E value of 9m. Work is due to start on site in July, but an immediate start is available to get involved in the pre-con stage.

The successful Electrical Project Manager will need to:

  • Demonstrate successful delivery of multi-storey residential developments
  • Be responsible for designing the programme and delivering it in a timely manner (this is a key requirement and needs to be clearly evidenced in your CV)
  • Manage the Procurement process, from sourcing materials, negotiating contracts and evaluating vendor proposals
  • Manage the finances and variation accounts, health and safety as well as providing a snag free delivery
  • Be client facing and as such be comfortable with client liaison/being the main point of contact
  • Ensure successful handover with final accounts and that all O&Ms are completed
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in managing sub-contractors and their delivery

To be considered you will require a strong management style, ability to form effective working relationships both externally and internally, be an excellent communicator, a problem-solver and an all-round good leader. Please note that previous UK experience on large-scale residential developments is essential, along with having a relevant electrical qualification and background in construction. Candidates with experience focussed predominantly on one-off individual residential projects will unfortunately be deemed unsuitable. Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered.
