Site based Project Manager required for a GBP6M CAT B Fit Out in Woking with an Established Contractor that have been trading for close on 20 years

Reporting into a Senior Contracts Manager - managing 2 Construction Managers.

25,000 sq ft Project, a mixture of Offices and Laboratories.

32 week week contract duration - Temp to perm opportunity available

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop construction programme.
  • Coordinate with clients, designers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Design Management
  • Oversee the design process, ensuring designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and budget constraints.
  • Manage design changes and ensure timely approvals and implementations

Construction and Fit-Out Execution:
  • Supervise on-site construction activities and team to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.

Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity.
  • Address any issues or conflicts that arise promptly and effectively.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Conduct final inspections and manage the handover process to clients.
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project logs.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project status.
  • Experience in project management within the fit-out, construction, or interior design industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large fit-out projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project or ASTA
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Day rate to be agreed.
