Operations Manager

Salary: Competitive plus performance bonus, company car/car cash allowance and pension

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

Location: Stafford

What you'll be doing;

  • Responsible for the management and maintenance of the fleet, in line with statutory regulations and company procedures and policies.
  • Ensure that the depot and collection operation is run in line with Veolia minimum requirements with improvement plans in place to address any areas of non compliance.
  • Managing people and assets to deliver/exceed service expectations in line with client and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure the commercial performance of the contract overseeing all expenditure, staffing and resources.
  • Develop and maintain employee engagement and day to day welfare of all staff.
  • Ensure training and competency checks are in place for all roles.
  • Lead the team and maintain a visible presence for employees.
  • Responsible for the health and safety awareness of all staff and all transport in the contract whilst challenging safety behaviour of all site users and promoting safe behaviour.

What we're looking for;

  • Transport CPC - Essential
  • IOSH - Essential
  • FLT Licence - Desirable
  • Previous waste management experience.
  • Fleet management experience.
  • Experience of leading and managing a team.
