Job Description

Within our United Living Infrastructure Services business, the Project Support Coordinator / Assistant will support the growing team, reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager.

The role will be core to our growing team, developing within a framework contract of 5-7 years with National Gas Transmission, where we will support and deliver projects for the client as part of their wider asset health and redevelopment needs.

The Project Support Coordinator / Assistant who will support, and work alongside the team to coordinate projects and helping to ensure that projects and objectives are delivered on time, within scope and to the agreed budget. Supporting on a wide programme of works on up to 15 projects at any one time, communication and coordination are key skills you need to possess.

Based from our Golborne office, the role will offer opportunities to visit our sites for experience and development and although not necessary for the day to day role, would ideally suit someone who can do periodic visits to better understand the wider team structure/work.

This role will suit someone with project support experience or junior assistant project management awareness, or a recent graduate with clear organisational skills looking to kickstart and develop their career/awareness on large complex CAPEX project delivery schemes.

Key Skills:

  • High Proficiency in use of Microsoft Systems (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
  • Self-Motivated and able to pick things up quickly and hit the ground running.
  • Organised & focused, able to self-manage time in a structured, productive and organised way.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Role: Project Support and Records:

  • Administrative set-up of new projects and site; completing document checklists, creating site packs and any other requirements
  • Supporting with document submissions/collation.
  • Coordination / ordering of core materials/plant/welfare/site IT.
  • Pre-Mobilisation site coordination (signage orders, welfare orders, paperwork packs)
  • Daily monitoring and reviewing of inbound site paperwork, reporting any queries or issues to management.
  • Uploading site documents and images to online project files.
  • SharePoint/Folder system maintenance.

Role: Management Support:

  • General support / reporting for Project (PM), Construction (CM) and Commercial Manager.
  • Attend and relay core information with team from meetings in lieu of PM/CM attendance.
  • Create Reports / Spreadsheets / presentations to easily portray project metrics
  • Successfully managing relationships with all internal and external facing stakeholders.
  • Creating and maintaining Project trackers.
  • Project team/company inductions/familiarisations/introductions.
  • Internal control of work in progress documentation and review dates. (utilising current central register)
  • Adding arising tasks to the internal planner & assigning to other colleagues when appropriate.
  • Coordinating agreed activities across our construction sites.
  • Production of minutes and drafting monthly reports.
  • Central lead of SharePoint Project Management System.
  • Labour tracking / Competency Tracking.
  • Project Calendar / meetings and milestone Coordination.
  • Collation of project statistics hours works, SHEQ statistics from SHEQ team, records progress, commercial overviews.
  • Any other administrative support to the project.


  • CDE/EDMS Experience.
  • Procurement and ordering experience.
  • Use of Microsoft Project.
  • Previous experience within a Project Management Office / PMO team.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Knowledge of delivering projects on construction sites.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Full, clean drivers licence.
