Project Manager

One of our clients is expanding, and they are looking for a seasoned Project Engineer to join our team. This role goes beyond servicing and maintaining lifts; we're seeking someone with a strong project management background to handle both pre- and post-installation phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client & Site Interaction: Represent the client on-site, interacting with clients, builders, and other engineers, and maintaining close collaboration with the office team.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure high accuracy and quality in technical and engineering projects. Translate requirements into actionable tasks with realistic timelines and address any issues in project plans.
  • Daily On-Site Reporting: While the role is primarily office-based, daily on-site presence is required to oversee engineering projects and communicate client needs to the team.

Main Duties:

  • Servicing & Maintenance: Support the servicing and maintenance of various lift products, including home lifts, platform lifts, passenger lifts, and goods/service lifts.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee and provide operational/technical support to subcontractors, both on-site and remotely.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support to clients, suppliers, and office staff, particularly within the project management team.
  • Rapid Response: Quickly address breakdowns and service/repair needs as they arise.
  • Knowledge Development: Stay informed on key issues and information sources relevant to the Executive Directors' work to handle most queries on their behalf.
  • Professional Representation: Act as the professional face of the client, providing helpful and effective service to all contacts.
  • Ambassadorial Role: Handle inquiries efficiently and professionally, serving as an ambassador for the Executive Directors.
  • Project Work: Undertake specific projects or duties as required, ensuring workload and deadlines are met, taking initiative where necessary.
  • Flexible Support: Provide flexible support to the Executive Directors, maintaining a customer focus.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience: 3-5 years as a lift engineer or similar role.
  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent desirable.
  • Driving: Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
