About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Manager - Structures to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Project Manager - Structures, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing specific packages of substructure and structure works in accordance with the Contractor's Management Plan. You will work closely with the Structures SPM to ensure the successful planning, design validation, and procurement of projects, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and collaboration. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the construction of major infrastructure projects in the rail industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide progress reports, cost analysis, and issue resolution for substructure works to the Substructure and Structures SPMs
  • Coordinate between the construction, design, procurement, and commercial departments to ensure the timely award of structure sub-contracts
  • Establish and lead a high-performing structure team, setting clear targets and implementing performance management processes
  • Promote a collaborative environment and effective communication with stakeholders and the supply chain
  • Ensure clear understanding and compliance with the client's instructions and contractual communication within the team and supply chain
  • Implement performance management processes and deliver appropriate training
  • Adhere to HS2 standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship and continuous improvement

Technical competencies

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations
  • Experience in project controls and budget management
  • NEC contract experience
  • Strong organizational and team-building skills

Qualifications, Certifications & Experience

  • Degree or higher in a numerate discipline, preferably Engineering
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • Proficiency in BIM, AutoCad, and collaborative platforms
  • CSCS Card and Safety for Senior Managers training
  • Significant experience in complex RC structures and station/transport interchange infrastructure
  • Proven track record of delivering projects to time and budget, with a focus on safety, quality, and sustainability
  • Prior experience with major infrastructure clients
  • Experience managing interfaces with other contractors and Network Rail Projects
