Youth Homelessness Manager Wirral 35 hours per week Required to participate in on-call rota GBP32,696.40 GBP43,793.04

For over 55 years, our client has provided safe, quality accommodation, along with first class support services to the most vulnerable members of society.

They provide person centred, supported housing across Wirral, Cheshire and Warrington, with a focus on specialist support services to people aged 18 years and over who are at risk of, about to become, or are homeless, and 16 to 21 year old care leavers.

As a member of the management team, and under line management leadership, to be responsible for ensuring high quality day to day management of the Association s services through a team of staff. To provide an exemplary service at all times by working within and actively promoting and adhering to Association quality standards, procedures, values, business principles, and continuous improvement methods.

The following criteria are essential for this role

  • Experience of working with vulnerable client group
  • Minimum of 3 years management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of working for an Ofsted regulated provider
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject
  • Commitment to delivery of a quality service
  • Health and Safety legislation knowledge
  • Capacity to organise and motivate
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Communication skills
  • Can deliver written and verbal reports
  • Ability to network and skills in positively promoting the Association
  • Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Legislation
  • Demonstrable business management skills
  • Demonstratable team management skills

What will your role look like?

Your key tasks will be:

  • To effectively and efficiently manage the business functions, and support business development and improvement to meet the Association s Business Plan.
  • To effectively lead, manage, supervise, and continuously professionally develop staff in line with the Association s Business Plan.
  • To ensure that the services delivered to residents are of the highest quality, by monitoring project performance against internal and external requirements.
  • To implement policies and processes within service delivery practice, and contribute to the development of policy, procedure, and service improvement
  • Housing Management: To be responsible for robust management, maintenance, health & safety of Association properties, ensuring they are compliant with legislation and regulations, and readily available for inspection
  • For Ofsted registered sites, to implement and adhere to all Ofsted regulations and standards, provide quality and consistency of service and property standards to continually meet the Ofsted regulations, and lead the preparation for Ofsted inspections.

What can you expect in return?
