Job Summary

We are working with a client who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager/Engineer to join their team. As an Electrical Project Manager/Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating electrical projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to achieve project objectives
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, producing site safety documentation such as method statements, risk assessments, COSHH, HAVS, and other relevant documents
Manage all aspects of health and safety to provide a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and third parties
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, suppliers, and contractors
Identify customer requirements and design specifications, and work closely with designers to ensure effective solutions
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve problems
Manage procurement of subcontract trades, suppliers, and in-house labor contracts
Oversee the completion of monthly project profit and loss documentation and manage client variations
Approve and issue subcontract applications for payment and manage final accounts
Ensure compliance with main contract terms and conditions
Create and update project programs of works on a weekly basis to monitor progress accurately

Requirements

Technical knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
Experience working on office fit out projects
Relevant qualification in electrical engineering (e.g., HNC/HND or similar field of study)
Estimating and design experience
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks
Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
Commercial awareness and ability to analyse financial data
Ability to inform others through effective reporting
