Our client is a vertically integrated Operations and Maintenance specialist for utility scale ground mounted Solar PV Plants in the UK and Europe. Join a highly experienced and well-trained team managing one of the largest Ground Mount Solar PV portfolios in the UK.

The role will be site based and will require regular travel to and from applicable sites (Predomianntly Devon & Somerset), with the possibility of some overnight stays, with all expenses paid on an adhoc basis.

Key Responsibilities:

You will primarily be responsible to deliver repowering and other field projects as well as HV maintenance and installation activities whilst adhering to all budgets, safety regulations, CDM requirements, quality standards and project specifications.
Delivery of repowering and other site projects
Prepare quotes, proposals, progress and completion reports as required.
Perform site surveys and develop punchlists
Develop installation solutions including adapting to on-site issues and challenges
Managing sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Assist in the preparation of Construction Phase Plans and associated H&S documentation.
Reviewing contractors RAMS and associated Health and Safety documentation and ensuring that sub-contractors are working and keeping to the issued method statements, risk assessments, work instructions and designs
Ordering materials and plant through the Accounts department and ensuring that all materials are ordered and on site for when works are programmed in.
Follow all published guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure satisfactory delivery of work
Maintain and develop competence level and technical skills to ensure delivery to high standards
Use all machinery, equipment, substances, transport, and plant appropriately and in line with company guidance
Attend regular meetings with Senior Management at Head Office
Undertake monthly inspections of all issued equipment, including van, tooling, test equipment and PPE
Work according to company Integrated Management System to help achieve Quality, H&S and Environmental objectives

Skills preferred:

Previous proven experience in project/construction management
Previous proven experience in electrotechnical installations
Excellent solar / electrotechnical knowledge
Sound knowledge of H&S and risk assessment legislation and practices
Self-motivated and customer focused
High Voltage AP Qualification and Authorization is a preferred minimum
