VIGO have partnered with a leading BMS company to onboard an experienced Operations Manager into their established team. You will be responsible for a team of 7 BMS Engineers and a Coordinator. You will need to have proven experience working within the BMS and energy sectors.
The company are renowned for their quality of work and level of professionalism, and the Senior leadership team have over 100 years of experience when it comes to everything BMS between them. This means you will often find yourself working on numerous cutting-edge projects that are at the forefront of the BMS industry.
Your Mission
The Ideal Candidate

Your Mission
- Review and own P&L to ensure proper management and investigate/correct any errors.
- Forecast labor requirements to adequately resource projects, service contracts, and reactive calls.
- Take ownership of jobs and sales responsibilities for various projects/T&Ms of different sizes, scopes, and values, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Manage H&S responsibilities by implementing, promoting, and monitoring safe systems of work on assigned projects, including CDM, production, and issuance of Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
- Recognize the importance of company procedures and processes, adhering to them to deliver excellent customer service.
- Provide technical support to Field Engineers/Administrators to resolve site and product issues.
- Review service engineers' reports for technical accuracy and ensure timely submission to clients within company performance targets.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the service administration team.
- Supervise and manage small works to meet client satisfaction within agreed-upon value.
- Ensure timely submission of all customer invoices/part invoices/applications with necessary information for securing payment.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure client payments adhere to contract terms and conditions.
- Manage overtime and other purchases within designated responsibilities.
- Conduct annual appraisals with the direct reporting team and ensure completion of indirect appraisals.
- Hold regular meetings to monitor performance and play a leading role in engineer development plans.
- Act as an Account Manager for both internal and external contract base, supporting quote generation and tender processes.
- Collaborate closely with Regional Manager and sales to identify new opportunities and add value to the existing client base.
- Maintain frequent communication with customers to aid in account development.
- Perform effectively in a pressured environment, multitasking between different operational disciplines.
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the BMS (Building Management Systems) / BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) industry.
- Minimum of 2 years in a working in a management capacity
- An excellent communicator, capable of effectively conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

- A team player, but can work independently with ease.
- Possession of a valid UK driving license.
