Job Title: Project Manager (Education)Type of Business: Public SectorLocation: WalsallHourly Rate: GBP26.70Start Date: ASAPLength of Contract: 3 MonthsHours: 37GI Group are now seeking to appoint a Project Manager to our Public Sector client based in Walsall. The Project Manager would provide strategic guidance and support to our client's capital project plan. They would be responsible for the effective administration of the school organisation and early year processes.Main Duties of the Project Manager:

  • To provide strategic guidance on place requirement by providing up-to-date specialist advice on all matters related to the organisation's statutory responsibilities for school admissions, appeals, children missing education, school organisation and related attendance processes including pupil place planning for EY, SENDI and mainstream pupils
  • To manage, monitor and evaluate associated resources to ensure they are well used and represent value for money, in line with local policy and procedure
  • Lead and maintain effective procedures and practices in all aspects of service provision including professional supervision arrangements, safe working practices and employment procedures
  • To liase with Ofsted, DfE and Regional Partners to ensure sufficiency is delivered within expected timeframes and meets statutory requirements

Role Requirements:

  • Evidence of the ability to deliver effective programmes to ensure sufficiency across Early Years, Primary, Secondary, Post-16 and Special schools
  • Experience translating national policies to local level
  • Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including the Schools Admissions Code, Establishing Schools and Making aSignificant Changes
  • The ability to produce and interpret data to ensure activities meet the needs of the locality and are value for money
  • Experience of working in partnership with other services and agencies
  • Evidence of ability to respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns
