Our client, a leader in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Senior Tech Project Manager to lead and drive data strategy across renewable energy assets. If you are passionate about working with data systems and possess the technical expertise to bring about change, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic and growing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the implementation of a vendor-driven reporting and analysis system.
- Manage an existing agile system that provides as-is reporting and analysis.
- Collaborate on user acceptance test creation and execution.
- Update and maintain comprehensive documentation related to solutions.
- Develop and implement training processes and strategies.
Team and Collaboration:
- Work closely with asset management, operations, technical, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Maintain data security and confidentiality in line with company policies and GDPR guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations within the working environment.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested by management.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, with a proven track record of leading both in-house and vendor-driven projects.
- Hands-on experience with technologies like Python and SQL, with the ability to understand the nuances of technical systems.
- Strong understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
- Ideally, experience with SCADA systems, asset management software, or IoT monitoring platforms.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools, preferably PowerBI.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to inspire and lead a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience with ETL systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the renewable energy sector.
