Project Manager                                
Salary: £60,000 for Four days a week + pension       
Home based with meetings in central London and continental  Europe                                                            

The ESCRS was founded in 1991 to promote education and research in the field of implant and refractive surgery and to advance and promote the study and practice of ophthalmology. ESCRS seeks to promote and support research in the field of intraocular lens implantation and refractive surgery and the dissemination of the useful results thereof. ESCRS has over 7,500 members from 130 countries world-wide.

This new role provides support to the Managing Director in managing key suppliers to the Society and ensuring procurement processes are followed in the ESCRS’ best interests. The role also provides input to the outsourcer on a variety of strategic projects and supports a culture of ongoing improvement in operational processes.

We are now seeking a Project Manager, working directly to the Managing Director and liaising with the Financial Director.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated project management professional who can demonstrate:

• Experience of process design and improvement
• Experience of technology implementations
• Experience in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication and delivery of the job functions and projects
• Experience of working within a Professional Association or charity would be desirable
• Successful project management skills
