This is a superb opportunity for an operations professional, who is focused on improvements, to drive productivity, safety and engagement at this established manufacturing facility in Bury.

The Operations Manager will ensure that the production teams are able to manufacture product safely, to customer specification in the most cost-effective way.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager will: -

• Manage a team of five direct reports for Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Health & Safety, with a total team of 150 people.
• Ensure site conformance to company safety policy and HSE legislation.
• Develop operational strategy to deliver year on year cost and yield improvements.
• Ensure the plant consistently manufactures quality products.
• Maintain a high standards of employee relations and team working.
• Achieve targets as defined in annual budget projection.
• Ensure effective communication with customers, suppliers, and head office.

The successful candidate will: -

• Have gained their production experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hold a degree qualification, ideally with an engineering bias.
• Be safety focused.
• Be a hands-on manager who leads by example.
• Be an enthusiastic leader who can engage and drive a team.
