Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Ashford (this role will be based on site)
Salary: 40,000 - 60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

HRGO are delighted to be exclusively supporting a very well established manufacturing business based in Ashford in their search for a Operations Manager, this is a fantastic opportunity to join and grow with the business.

The successful candidate will report to the Technical Operations Director and will manage the production, purchase, stores and assembly operations and staff within the business.

Duties include:

• Management of production, purchasing, stores and assembly staff.
• Management and organisation of:
  • Production planning
  • Materials Requirement Planning (including MRP system).
  • Stock control
  • Staff training and development
  • Quality control implementation
  • Equipment maintenance and replacement
• Ensuring Health and Safety requirements are met.

Skills and experience required:

• Production environment background ideally directly relevant (machine shop/assembly)
• Proven line management experience
• First class communication skills, both written and verbal
• Competent IT skills including experience of MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) systems
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload under pressure
• The ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with colleagues, and understand and react to their needs
• Self-motivated with the ability to drive through change
• Able to work in a team
• Well organised
• A good leader
