Finance Project Manager (6 Contract Role)
Our client is looking after finance project manager working within educational sector. The project manager will lead the project to update and improve existing finance system.
Your duties include Full review of cost centres and account codes to align, Monthly accounting to move to accruals accounting, Dashboards and reports for income, capital and projects, Enable project accounting processes, Procurement and general purchases within agreed authority limits to stop unauthorised spend.
This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and requirements gathering to implementation and post-deployment support. The successful candidate will work closely with finance, IT, and other key stakeholders to ensure the new system meets the company's needs and is delivered on time and within budget.
Skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, PMI, PRINCE2 Foundation, or other relevant project management certification preferred, Minimum of two years' experience of managing projects particularly finance or IT projects, with a focus on system updates or implementations, Strong understanding of finance systems, processes, and best practices, Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and project resources effectively, Experience with data migration, system integration, and user training and Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
