Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement warehousing, logistics, and stock control strategies.
  • Set up and manage warehousing and inventory systems.
  • Design and optimize goods receipt, storage, and dispatch processes.
  • Oversee inventory management across multiple locations.
  • Implement tracking systems for accurate inventory levels.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate logistics for efficient UK-wide distribution.
  • Negotiate and manage transport provider contracts.
  • Optimize distribution routes for cost and time efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and manage warehouse and logistics staff.
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for the team.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams.
  • Liaise with suppliers and external partners.
  • Communicate logistics performance to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and take on new responsibilities.
  • Travel regularly to warehouses and storage sites.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in warehousing, logistics, and stock control management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
  • Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility for frequent travel across the UK.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant qualification in logistics or supply chain management (desirable).
