Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement warehousing, logistics, and stock control strategies.
- Set up and manage warehousing and inventory systems.
- Design and optimize goods receipt, storage, and dispatch processes.
- Oversee inventory management across multiple locations.
- Implement tracking systems for accurate inventory levels.
- Conduct regular stock audits and corrective actions.
- Coordinate logistics for efficient UK-wide distribution.
- Negotiate and manage transport provider contracts.
- Optimize distribution routes for cost and time efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and manage warehouse and logistics staff.
- Provide leadership and development opportunities for the team.
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams.
- Liaise with suppliers and external partners.
- Communicate logistics performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Adapt to changing business needs and take on new responsibilities.
- Travel regularly to warehouses and storage sites.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in warehousing, logistics, and stock control management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility for frequent travel across the UK.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant qualification in logistics or supply chain management (desirable).
