Alecto Recruitment is keen to hear from Shift Team Leaders and Shift/Operations Managers who have experience overseeing shift teams in the Renewable Energy sector or similar, interested in a full-time permanent role on the Isle of Wight.

Job Brief

You will be responsible for day-to-day management of the Operations Team and the safe and efficient operation of the plant Deputising as Station Manager to ensure critical decisions are made in a safe and professional manner including:

• Ensure that the plant is operated safely, reliably and efficiently while achieving the key performance indicators (KPIs) and site performance targets agreed.
• Providing technical supervision and assistance where necessary for company and contract staff engaged in work.
• Responsible for building and maintaining the plants safety culture and performance, delivering, and maintaining good industrial practice.
• Providing effective training and monitoring of staff to ensure personnel are competent to undertake their duties, this includes reviews.
• Development Plans Working on outage planning (and assisting during outages), plant improvement projects and plant optimisation projects.
• Working within the Company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Requirements

• WAMITAB, IOSH or NEBOSH Ideal.
• Experience working within the Waste, AD, CCGT, Biomass, CHP or Biomass Industry.
• A relevant technical qualification such as an ONC/HNC/HNC/Degree in an engineering discipline
• At least 5 years' experience in an operational environment on a power station with Supervisory experience. IOSH or NEBOSH is necessary.
• Excellent proven leadership skills.

Package

• Salary between 50,000 and 55,000 plus benefits.
• Performance related Bonus available.
