Job Title: ERP Project Manager

About the Role:

My client, a prominent organisation in the manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid background in project management and IT system implementations, particularly within the manufacturing industry. You will play a key role in leading and managing ERP projects, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Manage the design, development, and support of ERP systems in line with business requirements, ensuring high standards of quality and specification.
• Team Management: Lead and oversee the internal IT department as well as external partners and suppliers, ensuring effective collaboration and resource management.
• Documentation & Standards: Produce high-quality documentation that supports system development and installation in compliance with ISO27002 standards.
• Risk & Change Management: Identify risks, issues, and dependencies within projects, and implement processes to minimise disruptions. Drive change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions and system integrations.
• Stakeholder Communication: Engage, influence, and communicate effectively with technical teams, software engineers, and executive management to ensure alignment and project success.

Person Specification and Key Skills:

• Industry Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• ERP Expertise: Proven track record in managing projects and supporting ERP system implementations, with a strong working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP), manufacturing systems, business intelligence systems, and SQL databases.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with emerging technologies, AI, and cloud services.
• Project Management Certification: Professional qualifications in project management, such as Agile, PMP, or Prince2, are essential.
• Organisational Skills: Highly organised, self-motivated, and professional, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leadership: Capable of taking initiative and responsibility for achieving objectives, including developing project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
• Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK, as my client does not hold a sponsorship license.
