Zenith People are working with our client who operate within the Renewable Energy Sector. Due to expansion, they are looking to bring in an experienced Senior Project Engineer/Manager on a permanent basis.
Main Duties & Key Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage renewable energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support in the design, development, and implementation of renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and other sustainable technologies.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure project requirements are met and maintain strong relationships.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and financial accountability.
- Reporting: Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree or equivalent in Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project engineering/management, preferably with a focus on renewable energy projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in renewable energy technologies, project management software, and engineering design tools.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
