Not here, every single member of the senior team originally started in a more junior role and worked their way up. That's on the cards for you and they can actually evidence it with the people you'd be working with.

You'd be starting as a Project Manager, coming in to a business that manufactures complex, bespoke machinery. It's full cradle to grave and their typical project is usually a kit out of a factory (up to the value of around 2M), so knowledge of H&S (specifically PUWER) would benefit you here.

Essentially, they've got long term contracts to satisfy and maintain, and have found they're spread quite thinly on customer contact at the minute, so you'll be making sure everyone's happy and in the loop on both sides. Based on the majority of their business being from long standing relationships, you'll need to manage the post delivery process too - you've got to make sure they're looked after so they come back.

Some of the names they supply to are huge, so there are opportunities to get to some pretty interesting places (mainly in the UK), but it also means you'd need to be comfortable in quite high pressure situations and dealing with the customers in the right sort of ways if you do face challenges. If you're used to being able to get away with being late on a project if you get the MD a couple of beers then this one probably isn't for you.

Ultimately, if you're a hands on, customer facing PM, with a drive to progress while working with some impressive bits of kit then you might want to find out a bit more.

You'll be based at the site in Burnley (unless you're out on site, and then you can just go home after) and initial salary is around 40-45k.
