Project Manager (Northern Department)
You will be supporting the Northern Department, site based or operating out of the Warrington office and reporting to a Contracts Manager, the successful candidate will possess considerable Main Contractor experience in complex construction projects with values ranging from 100k to 4M generally. You will have experience in a construction related discipline, with a good working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and Fit-Out package, reside within a 50-mile radius / 1 hour commute of the Warrington office.
The role will require close collaboration with numerous stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, including but not limited to the following: designers both internal and external, architects, estimating department, key account leads, project commercial teams both in house and client side, sub-contractors, manufacturers and specialist suppliers, client agents, commissioning teams and high-profile customers.
The candidate will be a key contributor from conception, through the design stages, managing the delivery and ensuring that each project is successfully handed over and closed out in a professional manner to the highest of standards.
Key Experience / Desirable Attributes / Responsibilities:
- Proven track record of delivering Fit-Out & MEP Projects to an extremely high standard.
- Possessing a professional demeanour, client facing and with a keen focus on customer care in all instances.
- Confident and effective communication, ability to chair meetings, driving outcomes, ensuring the production of accurate records of discussions, actions and deadlines.
- Ability to fully understand the client requirement, technical specifications, drawings and project requirement holistically.
- Experience in the RIBA design, delivery, and project commissioning stages.
- Good understanding of design and project risks. Identify, manage and escalate risks where necessary.
- Be able to contribute and manage against the sequence of works for the project programme.
- Ability to drive the project programme, ensuring key milestones are maintained. Ability to foresee potential points of failure and react accordingly.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports including programme drop lines to project stakeholders.
- Familiarity with producing onsite dilapidations and completion of validations.
- Understanding the importance of the development and submission of RFI's, TQ's and driving close out of items raised
Minimum Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstratable experience with a minimum 5 years' experience in a Main Contractor role.
- Reside within a 50 mile / 1 hour commute of Warrington
- Full Driving Licence
- Valid CSCS Card
- IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS Qualification / Equal Approved
Package: 55-65k
