Overview:

Our client, a leading Tier 1 main contractor, is seeking a dynamic and ambitious Project Manager to join their team for an exciting GBP180M new build project in Watford. This prestigious scheme involves the construction of a 9-story commercial building over five phases, situated on the grounds of an existing film studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring it progresses on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Senior Site Managers, providing guidance, support, and ensuring they deliver on their responsibilities effectively.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Project Manager, to whom you will report, and support the Contracts Manager in driving the project forward.

• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

• New Build Experience: Apply your extensive knowledge and experience in new build commercial projects to ensure successful delivery of each phase, anticipating and mitigating potential risks.

Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in managing large-scale new build commercial projects, ideally within a Tier 1 main contractor environment.

• Leadership: Demonstrable ability to lead teams effectively and manage complex construction projects with multiple phases.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.

• Qualifications: Relevant construction or project management qualifications (e.g., degree in Construction Management, CIOB, RICS).
