Our client, a battery cell research and manufacturing centre is currently hiring a R&D Project Manager. The successful candidate will be extremely customer focussed to ensure battery manufacturing and development projects are delivered to the high standards expected by the organisation and its clients.

The R&D Project Manager will:

• Create and implement project resource profile/plan, confirming core project team members capacity to deliver on time.
• Manage and lead the daily/weekly meeting drumbeat of project steering, both internally and externally, ensuring agendas are communicated and meetings are steered accordingly.
• Capture and document project decisions and change requests, supporting BDM with contractual change requests, and create new plans to show implications to costs and delivery times with creation of contract change notices.
• Generate weekly project reports and support monthly reviews and presentations to senior levels on status, future demands to EOP and customer feedback
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure effective information flow on a day-to-day basis using Agile and Scrum principles to ensure adherence to planned work in maintained.
• Manage, Report, and identify project risks and escalations, working with TL & BDM on mitigation plan. Manage non-conformities through quality team to ensure efficient resolution and adherence to recovery plan by all.

The R&D Project Manager will have:

• Demonstrable experience delivering projects within an Engineering R&D environment.
• Degree qualification in Engineering or Project Management related subject.
• Proficient use of project management and Microsoft set of software tools.
• Experience of Managing Multiple skilled project teams internally and externally.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects from inception to completion.
• Exceptional communication and presentations to internal and external customers.
• Experience of delivering complex multi-year research and development projects.
