Job Title: Project Manager - Construction
Location: RAF Lakenheath, Suffolk, UK
Working Hours: Monday Friday, 07:30-16:30
Day Rate: GBP300 per day
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Contract Duration: Potential for 3-year contract

About the Role:
Osiris is working with a client to help them find an experienced Project Manager to join their engineering and construction management team at RAF Lakenheath. This exciting role involves supporting the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron/Engineering Flight at the largest US Air Force-operated base in England, home to the only F-15 fighter wing in Europe.

You will be responsible for managing and overseeing facility and infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to achieve project goals on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, estimate costs, and ensure efficient financial control.
  • Identify and coordinate the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower.
  • Maintain inventory, manage tools and equipment, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise during project execution.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Conduct risk evaluations and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors and manage agreements.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction activities.
  • Plan and manage construction operations to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Allocate resources efficiently across multiple projects.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with regular progress updates.
  • Address environmental and community issues related to the projects.
  • Perform site checks to monitor progress and maintain quality standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Member Association of Project Management (MAPM) certification required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable experience in managing, planning, and coordinating facility and infrastructure projects, including construction and maintenance of buildings, roadways, and systems.
