Position: Construction Project Manager - Facilities
Location: Midlands
Salary: 42-50k plus bonus
Contract: Permanent
We are currently recruiting an experienced Construction Project Manager for our client, a fast growing FM company who are looking to develop their team in the Midlands area due to exciting new contract wins.
You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering several projects, typically up to 600,000. These projects fall under the Special Projects division within their Facilities Management (FM) services, often delivered using subcontracted labour.
The successful candidate will be based in the Midlands and will be instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of these projects, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Manage and motivate construction teams, subcontractors, and labourers, ensuring optimal productivity.
- Conduct daily briefings and regular meetings to communicate expectations, project updates, and safety protocols.
- Safety and Compliance - ensure that all site activities comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
- Resource management
- Track and manage the procurement and use of materials and equipment.
- Oversee the hiring and management of equipment required for the works, ensuring that it is used efficiently and returned promptly.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams, ensuring that all works are carried out according to the project specifications and industry best practices.
- Resolve any technical issues that arise on site, leveraging your strong understanding of construction processes and techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mandatory Qualifications:
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential.
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or similar role in the construction industry, particularly with projects valued up to 600,000.
- Experience in managing subcontracted labour and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
