Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Oxford Up to GBP75,000 + company car Hybrid
The Opportunity:
Experienced Project Manager required to deliver full life cycle projects from feasibility to design and build as part of the leading power contractors to National Grid.
This is an opportunity to work for one of the biggest names in the energy services industry in the UK. You will also be joining an organisation that puts emphasis on both workplace flexibility and creating developmental opportunities for their employees.
Due to increased demand for their services, we are delighted to be partnered in the search for an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to work within their Electrical Transmission Business Unit on the National Grid EPC Substations, and M&E RIIO-T2 Frameworks across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the construction team in delivering a portfolio of M&E projects through the end-to-end process from project initiation to completion.
- Strategic health, safety and environmental management and leadership to drive the highest standards.
- Delivery of the project s portfolio to the agreed time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Work closely with the planning team to ensure delivery programmes are in place and progress is monitored.
- Drive the Project team ethos to ensure the Construction Manager, Commercial Manager, Design Lead and Project Engineers function as a cohesive management team.
- Drive risk management for the Projects.
- Provide leadership and guidance on technical and contractual matters to ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to new contract tender bids using industry knowledge.
- Support the preparation of monthly CVR in conjunction with the Commercial Manager.
- Being commercially astute, lead the management team to deliver the balanced scorecard and meet/exceed contract financial terms and targets.
Candidate Essentials & Desirables:
Project Manager:
- Project Management experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., Power, Rail, Highways). (Essential)
- Excellent communication skills, and previous demonstrable stakeholder management experience. (Essential)
- Solid commercial acumen, e.g., P&L, financial reporting. (Essential)
- Hold relevant formal qualifications, and competencies, e.g., Construction, Project Management, M&E, H&S. (Desirable)
- Previous working knowledge of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution industry. (Desirable)
Senior Project Manager:
- Project Management experience on large-scale Power/Substation projects. (Essential)
- Excellent communication skills, and previous demonstrable stakeholder management experience. (Essential)
- Previous line management experience.
- Solid commercial acumen, e.g., P&L, financial reporting. (Essential)
- Hold relevant formal qualifications, and competencies, e.g., Construction, Project Management, M&E, H&S. (Desirable)
