Michael Page Logistics are looking to recruit a Nights Operations Manager for our client in Hertfordshire.

Our client are a prominent player in the logistics industry specialising in the storage and distribution of FMCG.

Description

You will be required to effectively manage all aspects of the night operation to ensure efficiency and people management is maximised and the best results are achieved. This is a cross dock operation and your team will ensure the accurate loading and unloading of the fleet. You will pay attention to overheads and labour costs whilst ensuring that the team performs to the agreed KPI's and SLA's. This is a regulated environment so quality control and compliance is essential. You will hold key relationships with other managers and leaders from across the business and will be responsible for reporting the performance of the team. Finally, you will encourage a culture of continuous improvement and best practice across the team and wider operation.

Profile

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience managing a team within a busy Distribution centre
• Previously worked with the FMCG sector, food or pharmaceutical would be hight advantegoues
• People management skills and qualities
• The ability to work as the most senior management person during the night shift
• Good IT and reporting skills
