Client Details
Michael Page Logistics have exclusively partnered with a client who are a 3PL business, supporting their search for a Warehouse Operations Manager operating one of their key sites in the UK.
They are an easily recognisable, innovative, and growing company, attracting various blue-chip clients along the way. This role will give the successful candidate a chance to truly flourish within a challenging, demanding, but rewarding environment with lots of room to progress along the way.
Description
The Warehouse Operations Manager role will require the individual to:
- Report to the Site Manager.
- Direct reports of x5 Shift Managers, along with an indirect headcount of 50+ heads consisting of;Team Managers, Stock & Inventory Managers, Team Leaders and Operatives.
- Overall responsibility for process design and daily delivery for inbound, pick and outbound operations through the team.
- Be responsible for effective inventory controls, ensuring the customer portfolios are maintained within key SLA guidelines.
- Be responsible for all KPIs and SLAs.
- Accountable for medium term succession planning across your site.
- Commutable to Oxfordshire.
This role would suit a candidate that has worked in a; Operations Manager position previously.
Profile
The successful candidate for the Warehouse Operations Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background - Essential
- Have worked in a 3PL environment - Essential
- Be Degree educated (or similar) - Advantageous
- Managed Multiple customers previously - Advantageous
- A minimum of 5+ years Logistics experience at an Operations Manager level previously - Essential.
- Have managed in excess of 50+ employees previously - Essential
- IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications - Advantageous
- Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 methodologies - Advantageous
- Have good written and verbal communication skills ranging from Executive levels to shop floor Operatives.
- Be results driven and commercially minded.
- Be commutable to Oxfordshire.
Job Offer
The role of Warehouse Operations Manager offers:
- Salary - 45,000 - 50,000
