Operations Manager required. Bennett and Game are proud to be partnering with a leading Waste & Recycling firm who due to successive contract wins are actively looking for an established Operations Manager /General Manager to join their expanding Berkshire site.

Established for near 40 years, our client has grown impressively building an outstanding reputation in their market and investing heavily in their staff, fleet, site and business operation.

Operations Manager Position Overview

• Operational Management - Overall management of a busy and expanding recycling and waste site.
• Health & Safety Management - Including risk assessments, HSE compliance, training around H&S, site security and staff safety.
• Personal Management - Leading circa 100 staff including 10 direct reports from multiple disciplines.
• Headcount Management - Overseeing with management the onboarding of agency staff, appraisals, disciplinary meetings, managing staff budgets etc.
• Maintenance Management - Work in conjunction with fleet & plant supervisors to ensure the fleet is readily available, compliant and safe for use.
• Budget Management - Working in partnership with the Managing Director to oversee site wide budgets, contracts, inventory, purchasing and buying.

Operations Manager Position Requirements

• Proven management ability within any of the following industries: Waste Management, Recycling, Agricultural, Heavy Plant, Metals/Steel.
• Ability to present business data, KPI's, and financial statistics to board level.
• H&S qualifications are highly desirable.
• Hands on management style and happy to get involved with all levels of staff.

Operations Manager Position Remuneration

• 55-65k basic salary (Negotiable)
• Monday - Friday
• 28 days holiday (including banks)
• Company Pension scheme
