About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fabrication Operations Manager to join our clients team. In this key role, you will oversee and manage business operations, focusing on high-level HR responsibilities, people management, quality control, and safety protocols. You will also be responsible for analysing and improving organizational processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

As the Fabrication Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Operations Director to build strong relationships within the Fabrication management team. Your leadership will ensure that operations across our various bases are aligned with our vision, values, and culture.

We are looking for an experienced leader with a background in the fabrication and welding industry. You should have a proven track record of managing and developing teams, with the ability to confidently communicate with project delivery members, including in-house teams, sub-contractors, clients, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on Health and Safety, staying current with the latest legislation, company policies, training, and statutory requirements.
  • Align with key client visions through contract delivery, ensuring sustainable solutions with a focus on cost and carbon reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with all company commercial and financial procedures, reviewing and completing contract documentation.
  • Oversee the operational delivery of projects by managing fabrication functions including tendering, design, procurement, manufacture, and installation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders while upholding strong ethical standards.

About You:

  • Industry-recognized qualifications (ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent).
  • Fabrication and welding experience is a bonus.
  • Health & Safety qualifications are desirable.
  • IOSH or CITB 5-Day Site Safety Management (SMSTS).
  • Valid CSCS card.
