Job Title: Project Managers
Pay Rate: £46,000 to £74,000 dependent on experience
Locations: London, Thames Valley and Home Counties
We are looking for talented Project Management professionals at all levels to join our team. At Thames Water, your role will be crucial in driving the delivery of large-scale projects aimed at modernising water and sewage networks. Our project managers play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of these game-changing projects, which will create a new era of water.

What you’ll be doing:
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
- Direct projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
- Evaluate project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
- Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
- Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project life-cycle, setting quality and performance standards, and assessing risks
- Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and researchers
- Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximise deliverables
- Report project outcomes and risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to the project work plan
We have roles in London, Thames Valley, and the Home Counties.
These are on a Hybrid Basis, but you must work on-site and attend the office as the business requires.
36 hours a week, Monday to Friday – we are open to applications for candidates looking for full-time and part-time positions
What you should bring to the role:
- Have a background in working on complex construction or engineering projects.
- Self-assured to interact and engage with all levels of internal or external stakeholders
- Managing, leading, and developing people in a culture of accountability and achievement
- Be aware of contractual project requirements.
- Have a proven track record of managing the performance of third-party organisations.
- Be financially capable of running a Profit & Loss, taking account of revenue expenditure and cash flow to deliver agreed financial goals.
- Set up and regularly implement feedback systems to improve business performance
