An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Project Manager specialising in Client Implementation to join a globally recognised, Fortune 500 financial institution. With a rich history dating back to 1889, our client is committed to providing exceptional financial services to their prestigious clientele by upholding their core values of service, expertise, and integrity. Join their team for a 6-month initial contract, with the potential for extension.

Location: London (hybrid working model)

Contract: 6 months (potential for extension)

Salary: From 105,000 per annum, plus extensive benefits

About the role:

As a Project Manager within our client's Client Implementation Practise, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive project management support to stakeholders in defining and executing the programme. You will collaborate with stakeholders and clients to identify their needs, assess risks, assumptions, and constraints, and articulate strategic direction for large, complex projects or programme activities. Your background in implementing new processes and onboarding in the Client Implementation arena will be a valuable advantage in this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all work streams with a high level of risk and impact.
  • Provide comprehensive project management support to stakeholders in establishing the operational model.
  • Design and oversee the implementation plan for client onboarding onto a strategic platform and operating model.
  • Develop project plans, identify and schedule project activities, and manage meetings.
  • Execute the work plan to achieve project objectives as defined in the project definition statement.
  • Monitor and control project performance, analyse variances, evaluate alternatives, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, provide guidance and motivation to team members, and ensure resources achieve project objectives.
  • Focus on the execution of strategic client onboarding.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change.

Desired Skills/Background:

  • Proven expertise as a Project Manager within the financial services sector.
  • Strong background in change initiatives, including operations, IT, and product development, with a track record of accomplishment in large, complex projects.
  • Familiarity with Clients Implementation processes, onboarding, and custody.
  • Ability to translate strategic intent into tactical plans and directions.
  • Sound knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practises.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, particularly in project management within a functional business context.
