I am working alongside a leading civil engineering contractor. They are looking to onboard a Project manager to help deliver a civil and infrastructure package being delivered in Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in highways and civils.

Project manager responsibilities:

• Coordinating with the client and main contractor on site.
• Ensure all activities comply with the requirements of the NEC contract.
• Site supervision of operations, ensuring they adhere to project specifications and safety regulations.
• Developing and maintaining detailed programs.
• Holding progress meetings.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of works from start to completion.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the client and main contractor.
• Review and amend RAMS.
• Prepare and deliver regular tool box talks relevant to works being undertaken.
• Implement and maintain safety procedures and conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
• In conjunction with the foreman, manage and allocate resources, including labour, plant and materials, to optimize project efficiency.
• Site inspections.
• Maintaining accurate records.

Project manager requirements:

• Right to work in the UK.
• NVQ level 6.
• Black CSCS.
• SMSTS.
• IT literate.
• Previous experience working under NEC contracts.
• 5 years experience in a project managers position.
• Previous highways, civils and groundwork experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS project, MS office and Adobe.
• Full UK driving licence.
