Construction Project Manager - London

Are you a Project Manager looking to join a smaller construction business where your ideas are valued, and your path to directorship is fast-tracked?

If so, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a rapidly growing, family-run construction company with over 25 years of experience in both commercial and residential projects. We specialise in high-end residential, office, and hotel fit-outs across London and the South of England.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple new-build and refurbishment projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Oversee project teams, subcontractors, and site trades, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration at all levels.
  • Create and manage contract programmes using Microsoft Project.
  • Monitor and control project costs, ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Source and requisition materials, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Commercial, Health & Safety, CAD, and Purchasing, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Manage multiple live sites concurrently, including projects requiring night and weekend work.
  • Proactively resolve design, structural, and site issues, providing effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within the construction industry, with a strong background in high-end residential refurbishments and commercial fit-outs ranging from GBP1m to GBP5m.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, particularly in carpentry, joinery, ceilings, partitions, and finishing trades.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage project teams and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel, with a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and thrive under pressure while managing multiple projects.
