RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with a provider of world class fire and security solutions. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the installation of fire alarm systems across multiple projects. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing resources, and meeting project milestones within budget and time constraints. This role requires hands-on involvement on-site and at the base office, while ensuring project success and representing the company as a reputable and leading employer.
The role will involve travel across the whole of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and deliver fire alarm system projects, ensuring timelines, budget, and quality targets are met.
- Develop and update project plans using Microsoft Project, and provide regular progress reports.
- Lead teams, including internal engineers and external contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate procurement, design, and installation processes, ensuring projects align with client and company standards.
- Attend site meetings, monitor project progress, and handle project handovers to clients.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ISO 9001:2015, NSI, BS5839).
Candidate Profile:
- You will be an accomplished manager in the fire industry with at least 5 years experience.
- You will have a track record of routinely exceeding your targets and display a thirst for technology and solutions that are cost effective and profitable. You will be a team player with ambition.
- Self- driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance.
- Credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior company executives.
- Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person s point of view.
- Able to get on with others and be a team player.
- Qualifications: FD & FA Fundamentals, BS5839 certifications, PRINCE2 Foundation (or similar).
- Experience: 5+ years in fire system project management with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets.
- Skills: Strong MS Office proficiency, financial acumen, excellent communication, and leadership skills.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven, team player, and able to handle client relationships effectively.
Design of Fire Systems in line with:
- FIA Unit 1: BS5839 Part 1 (2002) Fire Detection Design
- FIA Unit 2: BS5839 Part 1 (2002) Advanced Fire Detection Design
- FIA Unit 3: BS5839 Part 1 (2002) Advanced Fire Detection Design
- Adhere to company rules and ensure compliance to ISO: 9001:2015 & ISO 14001:2004
Additional Requirements:
- Full driving licence.
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed.
