Transport Operations Manager

Transport Operations Manager required! My client is a leading UK logistics company, specialising in next-day and same-day delivery of air and sea freight. They are now looking for an Transport Operations Manager to join their friendly, dynamic team, playing a crucial role in managing and developing the team.

Transport Operations Manager - Responsibilities

• Managing a team of 6 people.
• Ensure full compliance from all drivers on use of the driver app.
• Ensure high % OTIF SLA (On time in Full).
• Manage and develop the team.
• Liaise and work with the customer liaison and warehouse teams.
• Ensure that the team are constantly trying to achieve the very best service, both actual and perceived.
• Manage budget, KPI performance targets and identifying opportunities to deliver change initiatives to improve performance and maximise profits.
• Oversee the coordination of the fleet, ensuring all deliveries and collections are made timely and cost effectively.

Transport Operations Manager - Requirements

• Strong background in team management/leadership
• Proven background in the transport and logistics industry
• Experience in successful people management
• Strong understanding of relevant compliance and legislation's in transport/logistics and health and safety
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal

Remuneration

• Monday - Friday working hours 7am-4pm/8am-5pm
• Salary - 55,000 - 58,000
• 25 days holiday
