Estates Project Manager
The University has ambitious long term plans based on a transformational vision and a significant part of this is the forthcoming major investment in the Estate. To that end the department is looking to recruit an Estates Project Manager to support the Head of Projects in the delivery of construction related projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive and enthusiastic team of construction professionals who are working with clear objectives and collaboratively as an integrated team, and are driven by noteworthy values and the desire to make a difference.
We are investing over £300m in our estate over the next few years. The Projects you will work on are varied and will be of a multi-disciplined nature covering refurbishments and improvements of existing facilities to constructing new buildings. As one of the Estates Project Managers you will act as a ‘trusted advisor’ to the client and key stakeholders across the University and will ensure that projects are delivered to the agreed cost, programme and quality criteria.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification or experience in an appropriate construction based discipline) and have demonstrable experience of managing construction projects and teams in a ‘live’ environment using industry standard construction contracts. Experience of undertaking a lead role within project teams and contract procurement and budget management experience is also essential.
