Hiring Now: Senior / Operations Manager, Fabrication / Manufacturing, Middlesbrough
Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier of steel structures, working across a number of sectors including telecommunications.
Due to continued company success, they require a Operations Manager to join their business on a permanent basis.

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production of goods through the manufacturing processes, leading a group of Section Managers within manufacturing operations with a focus on delivering support through their respective teams.
The responsibilities of the Operations Manager:
- Provide leadership and Management support to Production managers and supporting teams
- Provide leadership and guidance to Team Managers to ensure consistency in administration of company policies and standards; define and implement any corrective actions identified/agreed
- Review and manage operational reports to understand management information, identify trends and implement subsequent remedial actions
- Attend management meetings to engage, support and optimise knowledge/relationships to support day to day activities and customer expectations
- Lead and manage Team Managers to ensure consistency in approach and delivery of personal and operational objectives
- Work with Management peer group to implement best practices, supporting consistency in approach including performance delivery, initiatives and any business change requirements
- Work closely with operational support functions to effectively implement and support processes and policies including supply chain, purchasing, planning, despatches HR, Training, and Process
- Create a positive and engaging work environment, resolving any employee related matters in a professional and timely manner
- Communicate across all functions to provide feedback and updates on site performance to various stakeholders within the wider company as necessary
The ideal background of a Operations Manager:
- Operations Leadership experience within a factory Manufacturing environment with at least 5 years proven history.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in business studies.
- Excellent leadership and management experience; approachable and motivational with experience of problem solving to ensure a positive and timely outcome
