Project Manager
Seeking a Construction Project Manager to join a Property and Development company in North Hampshire.

Hays Property and Surveying are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join a privately owned Property and Development company based in North Hampshire.
The company is a commercial landlord and developer primarily focused on the Residential Care, Specialist Schooling and Supported Living Sectors. The business prides itself on building long-term relationships, whilst offering a streamlined and efficient approach to commercial development. Its aim is to deliver an operator-led development model, offering a full cycle service to their tenants from site sourcing, project management and asset management.
Behind the success of the business is an in-house team of construction professionals who are responsible for the client-side delivery of each project, from initial feasibility, through to contractor management and completion.
Due to continued growth and project demand, the team are now looking to appoint an additional Project Manager to join the business. The role will be based at their North Hampshire based office, in addition to travelling and time spent on site.

Your new role
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting and managing the delivery of multiple construction projects through to completion and handover.
Projects will be focused on the conversion of existing sites into high quality residential care, supported living and specialist schooling facilities for children. Typically, projects will range in value between GBP300k - GBP2.5M, with an expectation of managing multiple schemes at any given time.
Key responsibilities -

  • Project Management of multiple construction related projects from delivery to final completion and handover.
  • Management of project budgets, cashflows and key milestones.
  • Attending site visits and project meetings to monitor progress and report on any variations or issues.
  • Maintain accurate project records and prepare regular progress reports.
  • Work collaboratively with other project team members and third-party contractors, architects and engineers.

What you'll need to succeed
  • A relevant degree in a construction discipline.
  • Working in a similar role, ideally from within a client-side or consultancy environment.
  • Previous experience of managing multiple, high volume, construction projects of similar size and value.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, construction processes and JCT contract forms.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • High levels of self-drive and eagerness for career progression.
  • Hold an ability and willingness to work collaboratively within close-knit teams.
  • Willing to travel on a regular basis and stay overnight on occasion.
