Project Manager required for a private residential developer with sites across the UK.
Your new company
Recruiting a Project Manager, your new company is a Property Developer specialising in the Residential sector across the UK, with their Head office in Sheffield.
With over 500 homes due to start construction, this Developer is looking to expand their team and bring in a Project Manager to help oversee the delivery, contractual and pre-construction works required to bringing sites up to specification for development. Project values range from GBP6m to GBP60m.
Based in Sheffield, your new employer also works alongside their sister company operating the construction arm of the business, as well as a stable senior management team in place to guarantee the success of the business and ensure sure they are seen as the 'go to' residential developer.
Building luxurious developments in the North and South, this company offers continued support, and you will help shape the housing market for years to come.
Your new role
As Project Manager, you will work closely with the senior management team in managing the successful delivery of works. With 2 live sites underway, and future sites already being targeted, you will help the business by covering off some key objectives on route.
The size and scale of the current projects consist of one site of 3 stories and another at 29. These sites will run for years to come, and you will take responsibility for the planning and programming of each, working closely with designers and commercial teams, and ensure all external stakeholders such as councils etc, are managed correctly.
This role will enable you to work closely with the contractors on the ground who will manage the day-to-day site teams, as well as be involved in the continued build programmes for future phases as and when they are due. Each future site will require input at the pre-construction phase, where you will ensure all legal and contractual obligations are met and that the commercial team are informed on progress.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, it will require you to have first-hand experience of pre-construction works, ensuring plans and permits are in place and that designs, and commercial / contractual obligations are being met.
Previous experience working in the residential sector will be required as well as a positive can-do attitude, and someone who can communicate at all levels, from board and client meetings to subcontractors.
Relevant experience is essential and, ideally, you will have a degree or trade background, so you have knowledge of the buildability of the projects.
You must be commutable to their offices in Sheffield and be prepared to conduct visits to sites in the surrounding areas mentioned above (North & South).
What you'll get in return
Offering an attractive package with a negotiable salary based on your experience, this employer is willing to go the extra mile to ensure they get the best available candidate.
You will receive all standard benefits inclusive of annual leave entitlement and pension contributions, alongside some additional company perks which can be discussed with the employer.
You will also be based in an ideal office location with many local amenities nearby.
This role will offer you a permanent position and long-term stable employment in a business projecting growth. There will be continued development opportunities within, and you can expect to have a lasting career with this private developer.
