Salary: 90,000 basic + Car + Package (Flexible for the right person and experience)
Role Description
As a Senior Project Manager for the project, you will be the lead on-site for the 30m project, taking it from the start in January 2025 to January 2027 with potential additional packages which could keep you there until 2030.
The project is part of the enabling works for Sizewell C, creating several environmental barriers and diversions for the site. Ultimately diverting the water system and river away from the site and building a new cofferdam and bridge for access to the site.
You will need to have come from a Civil Engineering background as you will be managing the Technical, Operations and Commercial teams. Taking over the daily interface with Sizewell C and running the project as mini business unit as more work is currently under discussion.
Day to day responsibilities will vary:
- Supervision and oversight directing both internal teams and sub contractors on site.
- Review the project plans and specifications.
- Working with the Commercial Manager looking over the overall project finances including reviewing and managing the budget.
- Coordinates with Site Agent, Engineering Manager and supporting function.
- Review and maintain change order management
- Manage client expectations and project variations that will happen on a project of this size.
- Prepare internal and external reporting.
This is hybrid role but you need to have full control over the project so the expectation is a minimum of 3 days a week on site. Then 2 days a week from home but you judge this on a week-by-week basis as the programme develops.
Required Experience
- Formal qualification - HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Proven project experience delivering a 10m+ project as the number 1 on site.
