Job Opportunity: Project Manager (Urgent and Emergency Care Programme)
Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to support the implementation of their "One Plan" aimed at improving Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) across their organisation. The successful candidate will be embedded within the Medicine and Surgery Care Groups, managing key projects to ensure successful delivery while adhering to agreed methodologies and governance frameworks.
Salary: 46,000- 52,800 - depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Plan, monitor, and control multiple projects or workstreams, develop improvement proposals, manage risks and issues, and ensure successful delivery of project components.
- Governance & Reporting: Follow established project governance, update Project Initiation Documents, and ensure accurate reporting on progress, dependencies, risks, and issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with clinical staff, service managers, commissioners, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with the One Plan.
- Financial Management: Review budgets, develop business cases, and ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to organisational policies and procedures, and maintain high standards of documentation and programme compliance.
- Training & Development: Provide support, mentoring, and training to project teams, attend relevant workshops, and ensure continuous learning and development.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record of managing complex projects in multidisciplinary environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop business cases and manage project risks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with experience working with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead without direct line management, influencing and coordinating teams.
- Awareness of financial systems, budget management, and the development of cost-benefit analyses.
Desirable:
- Experience in clinical or healthcare settings.
- Knowledge of programme management tools and techniques (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP).
- Experience in multi-agency collaboration and cross-boundary working.
Attributes:
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage a range of complex tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
- Personal credibility, able to build confidence with key stakeholders and lead teams in a dynamic environment.
